About Michelle Boyle

Michelle Boyle is an interdisciplinary scholar-practitioner, writer, editor, and researcher whose work explores the intersections of consciousness, culture, ecology, ancestral memory, and transformative experience.

She is a PhD candidate in East–West Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where her doctoral research investigates ancestral healing and intergenerational trauma through autoethnography, depth psychology, historical inquiry, and embodied engagement with place.

From 2023 to 2024, she spent nine and a half months in Italy as a visiting researcher at the University of Torino, conducting archival and field research spanning prehistory through the Renaissance. Her work attends particularly to women's histories, sacred landscapes, cultural memory, and the relationships between human communities and the more-than-human world.

Michelle holds an MA in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness and a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from CIIS. She serves as Assistant Editor of ReVision: A Journal of Consciousness and Transformation and has presented her research internationally, including at conferences in Cambridge, Oxford, Italy, Mexico, and the United States.

Her scholarship and practice are grounded in a commitment to interdisciplinary dialogue, ecological consciousness, and the transformative possibilities of recovering relationships with history, place, and one another.

Michelle is a mother and grandmother, and lives in Caddo territory in North Texas with her teenage son and other wildish creatures.
